Originally trained as an acrobat in the former Soviet Republic of Kazakhstan, D.T. Burns returned to his homeland of the United States to pursue a career in entertainment. Specializing in interdisciplinary performance, his writing has been featured at Denver Comic Con, the Boulder International Fringe Festival, the Fort Collins Fringe, the GI60 Festival@Brooklyn, and Softer Jupiter Escape's puzzle rooms. He has helped produce the feature film Be Not Afraid (winner of the 2015 Houston Filmmaker Grant), eight full length audiobooks, and the webseries Zombicorn. He has also worked in new play development with the Denver Center for Performing Arts, Local Theater Company, the Play On! project, the Boulder Fringe, and the Boulder Writers Warehouse. He is currently pursuing an M.F.A. in Dramatic Writing at Carnegie Mellon University.
