Matthew Jackett is a screenwriter, television writer, and playwright born and raised in Marin County, California. He is in his second year of the Dramatic Writing MFA program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. He received B.A.s in History and Literary Arts from Brown University and graduated with honors in screenwriting. While at Brown, he was the executive director of the Ivy Film Festival, the largest student-run film festival in the world. There, he also developed and managed the annual screenwriting competition celebrating the best of student screenwriting voices from around the world. He has worked in film and television development as well as documentary film distribution.
