| In the autumn of 1962, a young pediatrician begins his residency at a school for people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities, only to discover that the institution's medical personnel are conducting US Army funded experiments on the patients.
Willowbrook is a fictionalized short film based on the true events surrounding the Willowbrook State School in Staten Island, New York and the controversial research experiments that took place under Dr Saul Krugman in the late 1950s and 1960s that eventually led to the invention of a successful vaccine for Hepatitis B. |
